Design of ASICs for enabling tools for research in neural engineering, neuroprosthetics, and neuroscience

Blackrock Neurotech provides innovative tools and neurotech expertise to translate technology into novel, implantable clinical solutions that improve human lives. Central to Blackrock’s products are ASICs that interface to various electrodes. Our role at LNIS is to translate the existing Blackrock ASICs scaled to meet specific project needs. For example, some devices may only need a few electrode channels and would benefit from a small die for area and power budgets. Other devices may need many electrode channels and would benefit from a larger, more integrated die.  Our lab provides the research experience and expertise to advance those projects.
